The hidden heart of North Wales
Our Building
Our centre is formed from the buildings of a small highland farm in Hiraethog built of stone and slate over the last two hundred years. In 2008 we bought the buildings and renovated the main barn.
For North Wales as a whole we are a central location, about 30 miles from each of the main popluation centres; the north coast, Wrexham and the western coastal towns. We are the ideal venue if you want to get out of the city for a day and experience the tranquility and fresh air of the Denbighshire moors.
We are pleased to say we don't provide windowless rooms, noisy air conditioning or feeble coffee.
Our prices are very competitive, we can host a full day with refreshments and all services for as little as £5 per hour or £30 a day per person.
Registered charities and local groups will get a 25% discount on our prices.
Do You Have Welsh Speakers Involved?
Welsh is the predominant language in this part of Wales. We cater for both welsh speakers and for those whose first language is not welsh.
Facilities at Nant yr Odyn
Our facilities are ideal for groups of up to 15 people.
We provide wholesome home cooked food prepared by a local farming familyusing fresh, seasonal produce.
We can arrange transport for your group from the nearest railway station or you can arrive under your own steam.
Nant yr Odyn has been renovated sustainably; the space and water heating is provided by a ground source heat pump.
Activities at Nant yr Odyn
We can organise all types of activities that complement a day at Nant yr Odyn. Nearby are forest ropeworks, mountain bike and walking trails, lakes and reservoirs for sailing and fishing, as well as one of the largest and most exciting go-kart tracks in Wales.
If you want to pound down the local roads or forest tracks in your lunch break we can provide route cards, hot showers and towels.

Helping Rural Regeneration in North Wales
We are establishing ourselves as a community enterprise. This is a sustainable business with an ethical commitment to the local area. We buy locally and employ locally. Profits will be covenanted to the development of existing and new community facilities in the parish.
Long Term Plans
We are establishing Nant yr Odyn as a rural innovation centre.
In our first summer of operation we will provide a first class meeting and training venue.
In the next few months we will set up a series of training days in arts and environmental skills. Later this summer we expect to have an artist in residence. Throughout the summer there will be events which will give you the opportunity of trying us out so that you can decide how we can support your own plans and programmes.
