Walking & Mountain Biking Trails
Take to your mountain bike around the Alwen Resevoir on a purpose built cycling and walking trail. The trail follows the lake and goes up into the hillside in sections, revealing some beautiful views. You can also cycle around Lake Brenig, or if you're feeling adventurous you can join both lakes together to really take in beauty of the local area!
Fishing
Lake Brenig is one of Wales premier freshwater fishing sites and is popular with fly fisherman. It has a visitor center, shop and cafe for families and is an ideal place for a day out. Familes will appreciate the displays about how the lake was built, the area's history and local wildlife to spot.
The route around the lake is roughly 10miles, with benches and scenic places to stop which are ideal for picnics on route!
Go Karting and White Water Rafting
For the more adventurous visitor to the area, Glan y Gor Go Karting Track is worth a visit. There are also several white water rafting centres in Bala and the surrounding area. For more information visit the Whitewater Rafting Centre website
